- What is RedFest?
RedFest is Joburg’s most vibrant celebration of theatre, music, and the visual arts – hosted annually by Redhill School. In 2025, the festival welcomed thousands of attendees to experience over 20 theatre productions, 80+ vendor stalls, award-winning musical performances, and a spectacular Youth Day celebration featuring student talent from schools across Gauteng.
We’re proud to be one of the only arts festivals in the country hosted on a school campus and driven entirely by educators, artists, and volunteers – without a single full-time festival employee. - When is the next festival?
RedFest 2026 will take place from 13 – 16 June 2026.

In 2025, the Village on Oval was a buzzing festival hub with:- Over 80 curated stalls featuring clothing, jewellery, décor, crafts and more
- Top food trucks and drink vendors (beer, gin, and coffee bars)
- Free photobooths, fire pits, and live music throughout the day
- A secure, family-friendly setup with picnic areas and a dedicated children’s entertainment zone
- Our newly expanded indoor market in the MPH – a hit with shoppers and browsers alike
